On Monday June 6th 2022, Professor Nikos Trichakis, from the MIT Sloan School of Management, gave a speech in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia entitled “Data Science – Analytics New Trends and Applications”. On Wednesday February 17th 2016, Dr. Maria Besiou, Associate Professor in the Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg, gave a speech in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia. In her speech she referred to her current research interests in the area of Humanitarian Logistics, as well as to the opportunities of the students of the U.O.W.M. to continue their studies in a postgraduate level in the Kühne Logistics University.
